Is the person who rents his house (and has rental income) and who lives outside Canada entitled for Ontario property and rent credit paid back monthly.

Should the box "Do you want to receive your property tax credit?" be checked in the above situation?

The Ontario Trillium benefit is only available to residents of Ontario.  The rental portion is based on rent paid IN ONTARIO.  There is no credit for rent paid for a residence outside of Ontario, and definitely none available to non-residents of Ontario.
