How do I fix NETFILE error code 31?
by TurboTax•8• Updated 1 week ago
NETFILE error code 31 is due to a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) issue affecting all tax software in Canada.
If you get NETFILE error code 31 it means the identification information submitted to the CRA via NETFILE doesn't match what was provided to the CRA by Service Canada. If you can't fix the problem after verifying your ID, you'll need to file a paper return and include all the necessary slips and receipts.
Note: Your account will be locked after five unsuccessful attempts.
Here's how to check for errors:

TurboTax Desktop
- From the left menu, select Introduction.
- Review the information in that section.
