Why am I getting a greyed out screen when using the license code switch feature?

Some TurboTax Desktop customers are getting a greyed out screen when using the license code switch feature.

To work around this error, follow these steps:

  1. Go to C:\ProgramData\Intuit Canada\tt20xx
  2. Right-click and select Edit on TTConfig file.
  3. Delete SmallGraph=34 100
  4. Add UseCustomUMID=1
  5. Save the TTConfig file.
  6. Launch TurboTax. It should prompt you to enter the license code.
