How do I enter RRSP contributions in TurboTax Online?

Contributions made from March 1 to December 31 in a year are reported on the return for the calendar year the contributions were made. Contributions made during the first 60 days of a year are reported on the previous year's tax return.

To report RRSP contributions made after February 29, 2025 and before March 1, 2026:

1. Answer all the initial interview questions if you haven’t already. This unlocks 2024 tax return.
2. At 2024 tax return, under Add to your return, enter registered, and select Registered Savings Plan. 
3. Select the checkbox for Made RRSP contributions during 2025 or the first 60 days of 2026, as well as any other options that apply to you, and then select Continue.
4. At What’s your RRSP deduction limit? enter your 2025 RRSP/PRPP Deduction limit from your 2024 CRA Notice of Assessment.
5. At RRSP Contribution, enter the info from your RRSP contribution receipt.
6. For any additional receipts, select Enter New RRSP.
7. After entering the last receipt, select Done with RRSPs.
