Which TurboTax product should I use if I'm self-employed?
by TurboTax• Updated 1 week ago
If you're considered self-employed by the CRA, or earn self-employment income (for example, if you're an independent contractor, freelancer, consultant, or sole proprietor), we recommend choosing one of the following products to do your tax return:
- Do-it-yourself: TurboTax Self-Employed
- Do-it-yourself with expert help: TurboTax Live Assist & Review Self-Employed
- Have your taxes done by an expert: TurboTax Live Full Service Self-Employed
- Do-it-yourself Windows edition: TurboTax Home & Business
While you can use any of our products to do your return, our self-employment products provide extra guidance to help you recognize eligible expenses, credits and deductions you can claim.
