Am I more likely to trigger an audit if I claim my taxes in Alberta despite moving to BC on Dec-30 to dec 31, or claiming my taxes in BC, despite living 8 months in AB

Thanks for your question. If you have lived in British Columbia (BC)  from Dec 30 to Dec 31, then your province of residence should be BC. You are considered a resident of BC and will be paying provincial taxes in BC. Please click on this link to learn more about the province of residence.
