Sorry for your loss. Your husband's marital status will not change, but your's will. You will need to prepare your tax returns separately and mail in a paper copy of your husband's return. TurboTax will not allow the returns to be prepared together because one spouse's marital status will be 'married' (At time of death) and the other spouse will be widowed (Dec 31).
