My separated spouse is shown as a dependant, I can't remove her as a dependant. Why not?

Hmm, Is it showing her as your wife or dependant? 

If dependant, click on "Setting up"

Click "Dependants information" say "Yes" to supporting a dependant. You will not be able to see the next section if you say no. A drop down menu will appear and you can remove dependants here.

If she is showing as a spouse, you likely carried  your return forward from last year and she tagged along. You will need to start a completely new return without carrying forward.
