How can I change my tax details regarding eligible dependent? I share custody of child and only claim in alternate years
If you filed your return, you will need to contact CRA to advise them and you can do an adjustment of your return on the CRA "My Account". If you haven't filed your return as of yet, go to the left-hand side to Dependents, and when it asks if someone else is claiming your child click on "Yes" and continue.
