When using TurboTax, put your granddaughter's information in the interview section of your income tax return. Answer yes to the question, "Yes, I have children or financially support another person." in the profile section of your tax return. You will then be prompted to enter your granddaughter's information. Click on the deductions tab and select dependants profile. Put checkmarks next to the credits that you would like to claim for your granddaughter. Click enter dependants credits and you will be prompted to claim credits for your dependant.
