I changed my marital status to separated but why is turbo tax asking for my ex-husband's income? It is bringing it as an error to fix.

I separated in august 2021. I submitted my taxes as separated in 2021.

My divorce was pronounce in January 2023.. so I need to file as separated for 2022 again. However it’s asking me the separation date in 2022.. and does not give me the option to declare that it was in 2021. So I put Jan1st 2022 as the date then?

@Melch If you separated or divorced before 2022, you say "No" to the question "Did you separate from your spouse/partner in 2022?". Then you won’t need to provide any info about your ex-spouse/ ex-partner. To change you answer, select “Marital Status” from under “My Info/Introduction” in the left side menu. Choose the correct options and click the “Continue” button to save your information.
