I filled the 'Total amount for public transit passes not included on your T4s' section, the tax deductions didn't change. Does the program have any problems?

I heard if I used to use public transit in Vancouver between January to June last year, I can deduct taxes. But even I filled the 'Total amount for public transit passes not included on your T4s' section, the tax deductions didn't change. Does the program have any problems? or did I miss something?

The claim for public transit amount is a non-refundable tax credit which helps to reduce any net federal or net provincial tax that you might have owing.  It does not affect the tax deductions on your income tax return.
