    I'm filing our 2020 taxes. When adding our dependents it won't let me add a child we had in 2021. Do I just leave him out?

    I'm filing our 2020 taxes. When adding our dependents it won't let me add a child we had in 2021. Do I just leave him out?

    You can't enter a child born in 2021 as a dependant for your 2020 tax return. You will be able to enter them next year when you do your 2021 tax return.
