If your wife's income was below $11,809, you will be eligible for the spousal tax credit.

To claim the Spousal Amount on Line 303, you will need to enter your spouse or C/Law partner's information in TurboTax under the "Setting Up" tab.

  • If you’re preparing your spouse/partner’s return together at the same as your own, TurboTax automatically pulls your spouse’s net income amount from their return to calculate the credit.
  • If you’re not preparing your returns together, you need to enter your spouse/partner’s net income amount on your return. It’s important that this amount is entered accurately because your eligibility for many credits and benefits are based on your family income.
