I paid for my daughter's surgery. She is not a dependent (27). How do I claim that?

You would still need to list her as a dependent to claim medical expenses you paid for her, even if she doesn't live with you.
Here is how to enter medical expenses for dependants over 18 years of age: https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/replies/3282143
