Did you file your return using NETFILE? If so, did you get a NETFILE confirmation number?

If you have a confirmation number from CRA, it means that your return has been successfully transmitted. We don't have access to check that information.

To find out more about your refund and the status of your return, I advise giving CRA a call at 1-800-959-8281.

Can you confirm that it's an 11 alphanumeric confirmation number? Is it normal after so long? 6 months. Thank you

Yes, it's an alphanumeric confirmation number. The CRA's goal is to send you a notice of assessment, as well as any refund, within two weeks when you file online or eight weeks when you file a paper. You can get the funds deposited in your account if you have a direct deposit set up with CRA; otherwise, a check will be mailed out.
