I was filling out my taxes and it said I was to get 11$ but I forgot to put in the 500$ working from home temporary flat rate method, when I did my amount became 125$?

How come my tax refund didn't increase $511 after I went back and included the 500$ working from home expense that we are entitled to get back

That’s because employment expenses are not a credit, they are a deduction. A deduction reduces your taxable income, it doesn’t add directly to your tax refund.
