I was seperated Jan 14 2023 can I file as single?

when I try to file as seperated it asks for my xs income info,  I have no contact with him. Not sure what to do.

If you separated or divorced in 2023, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will still require your ex-spouse’s/ ex-partner’s information (and they will need yours). The info is needed for a number of reasons, like eligibility for certain credits or deductions, handling property you still own together, etc…

 

 

You can check your previous tax returns for the ex's SIN number. You can estimate their income, but if you do this, don't claim the spousal amount.
