Line 437 of my 2016 return has prompted a letter from the government. It's not clear to me what documents must be provided. Can TT help? How could this number be wrong?

How is line 437 calculated? The help section says "The total income tax deducted is shown at line 437 of your T1 General" but I don't remember how that number came to be. Did I get it off some documents still in my possession? Did TurboTax calculate it for me based on information I provided? How do I prove its accurate or find out if it is inaccurate?

Line 437 is a total of the income tax deducted from you throughout the year which is shown primarily in box 22 of any T4 slips you may have but you should also look at any other T slips that you may received.  TurboTax would have calculated this amount based on the numbers that you inputted into the program.
