I was told the only solution was to maybe give me a bigger discount next year if I call before filing. The answers for the same issue said refunds could be applied. The email with the 40% discount said it would be applied automatically but it was not. It did not have a disclaimer that I had to click on a clink to receive the discount, it said that it would be applied automatically when I signed in. It was not, so I finished my filing and called to get a refund. I would like to escalate this issue to see if something can be done that isn’t a “maybe dicount” for next year. People had the same issue 2 years ago and they got replies saying that refunds were possible with calling customer care.
