No, you're not required to claim this amount on your taxes or enter it. Bc recovery benefit was a one-time tax-free benefit that given by B.C. Govt. to assist BC residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a provincial benefit only available to residents of British Columbia and does not have anything to do with the federal government or the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and was based upon your 2019 Notice of Assessment.
