    Why can i not remove my ex bf from my return? i have been single since february 2017 . we were never married just common law

    Prior to 2017, you were required to start a new tax return, to change your Marital Status when using the Online Software. 

    However, for the 2017 income tax return, you will be able to make changes to your marital status.
