2025 kw2
I’ve been using Turbo Tax for several years, have always efiled both federal and state. This year the below came up saying that the kw2 is not available for file? I’m confused, it’s my understanding the kw2 is only used for mail in returns, so why is it even saying it’s an issue?
I also noticed the header at the top where it mentions some forms are not yet ready, is it blocking me from filling because of the updates? Or is it saying I have to do a kw2 and mail it in for some reason? I’m just really confused
it’s also not quite clear which forms are waiting for updates

Yes, according to State forms availability for TurboTax individual (personal) tax products, Kentucky Schedule KW-2 is not yet available for filing. When it is finalized (estimated to be 1/23/2025), you will be instructed to mail the form to the Kentucky Department of Revenue. The form is not supported for e-filing.
Check back on your return after January 23, 2025, and be sure to review the filing instructions for your Kentucky State Income tax return.

E-filing still uses the forms. It just uses electronic copies of them. So you have to wait for Kentucky to update their systems in order to file the tax return with them.
