Canada training Credit

I am completing a non resident return, where there is an existing tuition deduction. turbotax premier somehow convets the deuction into substantial OTHER EARNED INCOME. There seems to be no way to enter the credit limit which I think is creating the proble. How can i enter a limit of $250
