Given the option of entering individual donations or one amount, i choose the one amount. does that assume there is one recipient of all that amount?

that is not my case. i have multiple recipients

Entering your donations as one lump sum instead of entering multiple receipts is permitted. Please ensure you retain your receipts as the CRA could request to verify them for up to seven years.
