Hi there, I owed from the 2016 tax season, I was wondering if the CRA would deduct the owings from my 2017 return? If anybody knows that would be great

A current year refund will be used to reduce or pay off a prior year balance owing automatically by CRA. Any left over amount, if applicable, will be sent back to the taxpayer.
