I have a medical claims were I had to submit the original receipt to the insurance company. Is a detailed insurance claim statement valid for the CRA?

It is a good idea to keep photocopies of these receipts. However, it enough detail is provided by the insurance company, CRA will probably accept this

I think I have scanned copies somewhere but just in case I don't want to submit something if it will get me in trouble if ever I was to get an audit.
