New PR in Ontario since Dec 2020 and unemployed. I had US stock income for which I paid income tax in US. Should I file 0 tax return or claim tax credit for Dec portion

Some details on how to calculate the portion of tax paid in US for December month would be needed. For eg. I paid 1800 USD in tax for whole year's stock income in US. So how much tax credit to claim in Canada as I became resident in Canada only in Dec 2020?

Please contact CRA  directly as they will be able to advise you best on how to claim this.
