This is my first time using turbotax. When inputting professional dues and insurance, do i total/add them up or input it one by one/itemized? The reason I'm asking is because when I have my taxes done by accountant, she adds them up first before inputting. Thanks for your help.
It can be helpful from a recordkeeping perspective to itemize them, but only the total will be transmitted on line 21200 of your T1 Income Tax and Benefit Return. Be sure to keep all receipts in case CRA requests them.
