I cannot select TurboTax Free even though I am submitting a simple return. TurboTax seems to think I am claiming charitable donations. I am not and have triple-checked.
I receive the message: "You're almost done! Because your return includes charitable donations, you need to upgrade before we can file." I did not check the box for charitable donations. I submitted a charitable donation last year, so the box came pre-checked, but I unchecked it and have confirmed this multiple times, saved my progress, etc. How can I just submit my complete, simple return?

If you imported data from previous year, it's not only import the data, it's also do it with the product you used.
If you think you should use TurboTax Free this year, you will have to redo your return without importing any data from previous year. Here is the link with all the information about Free software:
