Hello everyone,
I am an Alberta resident for tax purposes, but I study and work in Quebec. I am filing my taxes (in Alberta), and I need to know what to do with the Releve 1 amounts that are different from T4 amounts. For example, I had $560 deducted for taxes (box 22) of T4, and on Releve 1, it shows that $735 was deducted (box E). How do I account for the difference, since there are no options for me to enter the Quebec Releve's, information on Turbotax?
Thank you
As per CRA:
In Box 22 of T4, The amount reported is the total amount of federal and provincial (excluding Quebec) income tax paid.
However in Box E of Releve 1, The amount reported is the total amount of Quebec provincial income tax paid.ABworkers
