Base personal tax amount of $26,458 ?

Hello, I am filling out my tax return in Ontario, Canada for this year. I did a joint filing with both me and my husband's returns. I had income this year of around $30,000 but my husband had no income. I don't know why under the federal non refundable tax credits section, the base personal amount listed for me is $26,458 and my husbands is the normal amount of $13,229. I just wanted to make sure the $26,458 number is right and inquire the reason behind it as it is significantly impacting my tax return amount.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

Yes, the $26,458 is absolutely correct as the non-refundable federal tax credit from your spouse will be transferred due to zero income reported for your spouse. So TurboTax automatically transfers your spouse's credit to you.
