I haven't filed my 2016 return yet and it is now 2021. Can I still use NETFILE to file a 2016 return using TurboTax or do I have to mail it in?

As per CRA, the NETFILE and ReFILE services are open for the electronic filing of your 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 T1 personal income tax and benefit return. The NETFILE and ReFILE services will be open until Friday, January 21, 2022.

For tax returns prior to the 2017 tax year, you will need to print and mail your returns to the CRA.
