Locked Forms

Any ECD yet? Would I be able to print my return as is and mail it in? I have no confidence this will be resolved. I do not need a Schedule 3 so why is it holding me up?

Locked Forms

Schedule 3 is still locked by CRA and not finalized by yet. Please refer to this link Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?

We do not have any ETA on this yet but as soon a these forms gets finalize we will be updating them in TurboTax for an accurate calculations.

We appreciate your patience.

Locked Forms

OK well just called Intuit and they claim the final version is to be released on March 15th.  They sent me some links however I don't really find much info that is useful on the CRA site.  These are the links I received.  Maybe someone can make sense of these?

  1. https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/turbotax-support/en-ca/help-article/tax-return/turbotax-say-for...
  2. https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/community/filing/discussion/re-locked-forms/01/3531795
  3. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/digital-services-individuals/netfile-ove...

On the flip side, I contacted CRA and they claim they know nothing about this as they are already receiving filings from individuals.  That being said, it sounds like Intuit is either feeding us BS or, maybe the delay between when Intuit gets the forms vs others like UFILE, is longer.  What I find peculiar is how can there be changes to forms after February 24 if as of that point you can legitimately file your taxes without repercussions and yet Intuit is still waiting for updates??

Sounds like someone dropped the ball this year.

Ok let's wait till March 15th and see what comes of this.  Otherwise, I'll be calling intuit for a refund and failing that, my lawyer.

Update

-----------------

Ok so have an update for all, I tried seeing if I could save to PDF just the Federal and it worked, but when I tried the Quebec one, that gave me the message again of incomplete forms.  Proving again that intuit was FULL OF IT regarding CRA forms.  Evidently the agent did was talking out of his *** and did NOT do the proper research.  Now I have to call the provincial government and find out what's THEIR story.

2nd (final update)

Revenue Quebec:  So for those in province of Quebec, I have it on good authority (actual fact) from a Rev. Que. agent as to the issue.  Some of the forms, INCLUDING RL-3 were declined by the Fiscal administration as not proper or acceptable forms for 2024, amongst other forms, causing an unanticipated delay in a final version.  So fact of the matter is Turbotax is NOT at fault (apologies to Intuit) but rather, are waiting for the final official forms to be released to software companies like Intuit.  Some of you may have been able to file your taxes because your submission did NOT include any of these unofficial  forms, thus the software was able to complete your declaration.  Those who STILL are blocked, try submitting federal separately from Provincial and it may work.

In meantime we have to wait.  For other provinces, you may want to contact the appropriate reps of your provincial gov't to see if they don't have the same situation, I believe Quebec is the only province submitting taxes separately so for other provinces it may not allow you to file anything until all forms are complete if your declaration contains these "catalyst" forms.

Hope that helps you all.  Took me over 2 hours of phone calls and research.  Now to wait....
