Northern deduction
I lived in northern manitoba for 6 months from January to july can i claim northern deduction if i moved to ontario in july and filing my 2024 tax in ontario ?
july to December 2024 in ontario.
will file my taxes in ontario and wont go back to northern Manitoba
am i eligible to claim northern deduction for the 6 consecutive months stayed in north?

Northern deduction
As per CRA website, you qualify if you lived, on a permanent basis, for a continuous period of at least six consecutive months, in a prescribed northern zone or a prescribed intermediate zone. You can have access to all information regarding this deduction on this CRA link.
