From the screencap below, the answer to the questions all suggest that the owner of the new home qualifies for the first-time home buyer credit. However, I want to make it clear to the CRA that the owner is NOT a first-time home buyer in order for the return to be filed accurately. With that in mind, how should I respond to these questions? Thanks for your time.
When asked if you owned and lived in another home in the past years say YES and when they ask is this a qualifying home say NO. This will indicate that the owner is not a first time home buyer.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Thanks!
