RRSP

I contributed to an RPP (half the total amount was matched by my employer) for a couple of years but finally left mentioned employer last year. The total was then transferred to an RRSP on the same year and I was informed that the transfer would not count as a contribution and would not affect the deduction limit. There's a page on Turbotax Free that asks for designated transfers to an RRSP so I was wondering if this is where the amount would fall under given that I haven't received any RRSP contribution slips/documents other than proof that it was a transfer to an RRSP.

If you have a CRA "My Account" please sign in and verify if they have an RRSP information slip regarding this transferred amount. If not, you can contact the financial institution responsible for the transfer to see if you should have received an information tax slip. If there is none required then no entry is needed in your tax return.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
