Switching to Turbotax

I am looking at switching to TurboTax for 2024 filings.   I have a REPID with CRA, can I use this to connect and download slips from CRA through TurboTax.  Can I link other family members to my REPID and do the same - 14 returns total to file for 2024.

Do you simply start by entering info into the return and then the program determines what version you need and then pay accordingly when filing.

Can you you file electronically without a Netfile code?  As I have efiled returns through TaxPrep in the past I don't receive an Netfile code.  Maybe this is the access code on the NOA?

Can you generate a PDF of the return upon completion?

Switching to Turbotax

You can use TurboTax, but it's not going to ask for your RepID. If you want to do Auto-Fill, you will have to try login with the RepID first, before starting Auto-Fill, or use the tax payers login info.

NetFile code is optional and yes, when the tax return is ready to be NetFile, you will be able to print a PDF of the return. There is 2 different kind of PDF you can generate with TurboTax: The condensed version (created before NetFile) and the Duplicate one (with all the worksheet/forms).

Also, you can try contact Profile software support. Profile uses E-file so if you don't have an E-file number, you will have to print and mail their returns. Here is the link for Profile.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
