I am told that it is because "The entry for province or territory of self-employment is not the same as your province of residence at December 31st." I have gone over the CRA reasons for ineligibility and none of them apply to me.
In 2017, my wife did earn income from a home business while we were living in SK. This year, during which we moved to NB, she did not have and earned no income from a home business. However, the program refuses to fully delete her T2125 B1 form, even though I ensured that in the easystep part, she had no home business income reported, and even managed to delete the T2125 B1 form from easystep - but it didn't take.
Is it possible that I will have to re-submit her 2017 return and indicate that as her last year of business? At the time I submitted, it was not clear that would be the case, but then I think would have to wait for reassessment.
Any help would be appreciated, as I would much prefer to file via Netfile.
They don’t know what they are doing
