How do i transfer my files to a new laptop without an activation code?

the response i get to my question is to contact a support representative, but that feature does not seem to work.

You need an installed and activated version of TurboTax on your computer to open a TurboTax file. There's no way around this. If you've lost track of your IKC, you'll need to call us.
