Can you, as self employed, claim books purchased for research as a deduction, and if so, how, is there a CCA class that covers this?

Self-employed
As a rule, you can deduct any reasonable current expense you incur to earn income if this research material was for business purposes. You would go to Self Employment in your return and include it under Other Expenses. There is no CCA class for these research books.
Thank you for using TurboTax.
