Can I claim what remains as CCA for a laptop purchased the year prior to becoming self employed?
I purchased a laptop the year prior to becoming self employed and now I use it as my sole computing device for my business. Can I claim the remaining amount allowable for the asset?

Self-employed
Yes, you can. But to enter it for CCA purposes, you would have to enter the Fair market value when you started using it for self employment, not the amount you originally paid for it.
