My spouse and I separated in 2023, but each of us get roadblocked at entering each others' net income from their 2023 tax return, so neither of us can complete them...

We separated in April. Neither of us has filed taxes for 2023 yet, currently in progress of completing forms.  We both are asked to submit each others net income for last year, based on line 23600 of federal return, but neither of us can submit our return without this number which does not yet exist.  Is this just a program glitch for separated people?  What is the solution?

Use an estimate so that you can continue your returns. Once you get the correct net income figures, you can go back and enter them before filing.
