To delete an amount on Line 31217 (Volunteer firefighters' amount), you cannot simply click on the line and hit delete; you must remove the entry from the specific "Profile" or "T-slip" section that triggered it.
If you have a T4, look at Box 87. If there is an amount there, the software automatically claims this credit. To remove it, you must clear Box 87 on the T4 entry page.
Check the "Profile" section:
Click Find (magnifying glass) and search for "Volunteer".
Select the Volunteer Firefighters' Amount and click Go.
On the page that asks if you want to claim the amount, select "No" or uncheck the box.
