Credits and deductions

It depends on what your worldwide income was for the period of 2017 when you were not a resident of Canada.  If at least 90% of your worldwide income consisted of Canadian source income, then you are not required to prorate.  If, however, you do not meet this threshold, then you are required to prorate the personal credits.
