T4 / T4A Slips Income Tax Deduction Amount

Should the income tax deducted as shown on your T4 or T4A slip not be the same as shown in the Tax summary in Turbo Tax?  As an example, Box 22 of the T4A stated the income tax deducted (at source) is $10,000.  Should this same figure not appear everywhere in Turbo Tax where the income tax deducted figure is indicated such as in the Detailed Tax Summary?  Shouldn't Line 43700 (total income tax deducted) as shown on the Detailed Tax Summary (in Turbo Tax) be identical to Box 22 (Income tax deducted) on the T4 or T4A slips?

Yes line 43700 should be a total of taxes paid at the source. You may wish to verify your T-slips summary to see if any other information was entered. You can click on Income then T-slips then T-slip summary then go through each information slip that comes up and click on Edit to view the information.

If the total at line 43700 is still not correct, we believe your best option is to contact our telephone support team for further assistance, as they have the option to view your screen to help resolve the issue. To contact them, please follow this link: Contact Us. When asked if you wish to receive an email say NO then say "speak to a representative" then hold the line.
