If you have lived in Canada for less than 183 days in a year and do not have significant residential ties in Canada then you are considered as a Non-resident. You are a resident of Canada and you leave temporarily for work, school, a medical procedure, or vacation, You will be considered as a Factual Resident.

You would need to show your stats as married but can file a return for yourself only. We will also recommend contacting CRA directly to get more clarification on this.
