Review any explanation on your Notice of Assessment. If you unsure of the reason for the extra amount of the refund call Canada Revenue Agency, CRA, at 1-800-959-8281. There will be a wait since this is a busy time, and have your notice of assessment handy since CRA will ask for information from it. Note: if CRA later determines they sent you too much as a refund they will ask for the excess to be repaid.
