IMPORTANT where is default location of saved data file - DESKTOP version

in Canadian version ?   

in US version?   

there does not appear to be a "preference setting" in either country program.   I have looked at all locations and all users for C:windows\user\documents\turbo tax\ *.tax2022.   Is this default location the same for BOTH desktop versions for Canadian and US programs.

Troubleshooting

The default save location for the Canadian version of TurboTax CD/Download 2022 is: C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\TurboTax\2022

The file extension is .tt22, so your file would be named something like Yourname.tt22.

 

If you are not able to find your file in that folder, you can use the Windows search function to try to find it.
