It would depend on how you hold these shares. If you keep them in an account with a Canadian registered securities dealer or a Canadian trust company, then you would put your US stocks under category 7. If not then they would go under category 2.

1. click on "Discuss" at the top of the page
2. click on a topic
3. click on sub-topic
4. click on "Ask A Question" next to the search bar

When I click on Discuss I don't see 'Topic'.

That doesn't work.

 I see 'Browse by Topic'.

If I click on that, I click on 'Getting Started'.

And NOWHERE does is say 'Ask a Question' !!!
